The University of the Free State’s Student Representative Council (SRC) elections took place on the Bloemfontein,
Qwaqwa, and
South campuses during August.
The following candidates were successfully elected as 2019/2020 SRC members on our three respective campuses.

Qwaqwa Campus to award academic excellence during winter graduations

The Qwaqwa Campus of the UFS will be rewarding its Class of 2014 at two graduation ceremonies to be held on 8 - 9 May 2015 in the Rolihlahla Mandela Hall at 11 am and 10 am, respectively.
The Friday ceremony will honour academic excellence in the Faculties of the Humanities and Economic and Management Sciences when 378 degrees will be conferred. On Saturday, the Faculties of Education and Natural and Agricultural Sciences will confer 433 degrees.
Among those 811 degrees are four PhDs in Natural Sciences, nine Master of Sciences degrees, one M Ed degree, and 81 Honours degrees.
Radio and television personality, Nikiwe Bikitsha, will be the guest speaker at both ceremonies. Acclaimed lyricist, composer, director and theatre producer, Dr Mbongeni Ngema, will provide musical entertainment. Dr Ngema is better known for his stage and movie productions, including Sarafina.
