The University of the Free State (UFS) will be presenting the 2nd UFS Thought-Leader Series in cooperation with Vrye Weekblad as part of the Vrystaat Arts Festival.

USA ambassador visits university

The Ambassador for the United States of America to South Africa, Mr Donald H. Gips (left) and his wife paid a courtesy visit to the Bloemfontein Campus on Tuesday 22 May 2012. Part of the visit included a tour of the Bloemfontein East Intermediary School, which has undergone extensive renovations with the assistance of the university. The Ambassador and Mrs Gips also had lunch with Prof. Jonathan Jansen (right), Vice-Chancellor and Rector, and his wife, Grace.
