With the second semester well underway, you may feel overwhelmed by the academic pressure and you aren’t sure how to find your way out of this maze. Adv. Beatri Kruger from the Department of Criminal and Medical Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of the Free State (UFS) was invited to participate as a speaker in a seminar hosted by the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. The seminar: A Human Rights Approach to Combating Human Trafficking: Challenges and Opportunities. Implementing the Recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking, will take place on 27 and 28 May 2010.
The seminar will present an opportunity for participants to share their own experiences in applying a human rights-based approach to combating human trafficking.
Adv. Kruger is involved in the Centre for Children’s Rights at the UFS and she specialises in human trafficking. |
