With the second semester well underway, you may feel overwhelmed by the academic pressure and you aren’t sure how to find your way out of this maze. Language Day celebrated on campus

It was for the second time this year that the Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French at the University of the Free State (UFS) celebrated Genootskap van Regte Afrikaners (GRA) Language Day. Language Day is annually commemorated countrywide on 14 August to celebrate the existence of Afrikaans as a language. The other languages in the department were also involved as part of the celebrations, giving an extra flavour to the celebrations. Apart from the sale of various delicacies and a barbeque, competitions and the sound of the music in the respective languages added to the festive atmosphere and enjoyment.
