Dr Nadine Lake, gender studies expert from the Centre for Gender and Africa Studies at the UFS, will participate in a streamed online Facebook discussion on ‘men and masculinities and finding ways of solving conflict and work towards healing the victims, the survivors, the perpetrators.’ This is the 13th episode of the #DigtallyYours discussion series initiated by the embassies of Sweden and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in SA, with support from the European Union in SA. The discussion will be moderated by renowned journalist, Redi Tlhabi.
Other panellists will include Mmatshilo Motsei, S’busiso Malope, Ruben Richards, and Xabiso Vili.
UFS Bloemfontein and South Campuses closed from 25 to 26 February 2016

State of our campuses #10
The situation on the Bloemfontein Campus of the University of the Free State is calm this morning and no incidents occurred overnight. The campus is secure and members of the South African Police Service and the university's Protection Services are present.
The Bloemfontein and South Campuses will be closed on 25 to 26 February 2016. All academic and administrative services will resume on Monday 29 February 2016. The university management will use Thursday and Friday to prepare the campus for lectures and to try and finalise agreements with the protesting parties.
