Dr Nadine Lake, gender studies expert from the Centre for Gender and Africa Studies at the UFS, will participate in a streamed online Facebook discussion on ‘men and masculinities and finding ways of solving conflict and work towards healing the victims, the survivors, the perpetrators.’ This is the 13th episode of the #DigtallyYours discussion series initiated by the embassies of Sweden and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in SA, with support from the European Union in SA. The discussion will be moderated by renowned journalist, Redi Tlhabi.
Other panellists will include Mmatshilo Motsei, S’busiso Malope, Ruben Richards, and Xabiso Vili.
Intravarsity games pit Qwaqwa against Bloemfontein

The Intravarsity between the Bloemfontein and
Qwaqwa Campuses of the University of the
Free State consisted of sports fun, some more serious
than others.

Team Kovsies shone the brightest when the Qwaqwa Campus hosted this year’s Intravarsity on Saturday 6 August 2016.
As usual, both the Qwaqwa and Bloemfontein Campuses attempted to outplay and outclass each other in a number of sporting codes, thus strenghthening the Kovsie teams in each of the codes.
The highlight of the fun-filled day was the football match between the two campuses’ SRCs, with the game ending in a 3-3 draw. Coaching clinics were also conducted in chess, table tennis, tennis, and cricket.
