Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

Mr Mickey Gordon appointed as national convener of ladies hockey

Mr Mickey Gordon, Head: Strategic Sport and Business Development at the University of the Free State (UFS), has recently been appointed by the South African Hockey Association as convener of the national ladies hockey team for the next two years. Mr Gordon, Fabian Gregory, Lindsay Wright and El-May Pelser will be on the selection committee that will be responsible for selecting national hockey teams.
