Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

Legendary historian Prof. Colin Bundy to speak at the UFS

The Centre for Africa Studies at the University of the Free State (UFS) is hosting an ANC Centenary Seminar. The guest speaker is Prof. Colin Bundy and he will reflect on the history of the ANC and SACP in exile. Prof. Bundy is a legendary scholar and an influential member of a generation of historians who revised the understanding of South African history.
