Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.
Join us for a discussion where our panellists will analyse this perceived conflict.

International partners visit The School of Management

The School of Management at the University of the Free State (US) received visitors from The Hague University in The Hague, the Netherlands. The School of Management has a formal agreement with The Hague University for the exchange of students and teaching staff.
During the visit were, from the left: Mr Frans Dijkstra (Manager of The Hague University) Ms Erica du Preez ( Faculty Manager of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the US), Mr Frank Termes (Director of The Hague University), Prof Helena van Zyl (Director: UFS School of Management) and Prof Tienie Crous ( Dean: Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the US).
