UFS experimental farm invests in feed mixer
2006-12-04
The Paradys Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently acquired a feed mixer for the dairy on the farm. The feed mixer, supplied by Keenan, makes it possible to mix food for the fifty Jersey cows in a shorter period of time and less fuel is used in the process. At the delivery of the mixer were, from the left: Mr Gert Kleyngeld (representative of Keenan) and Prof Hentie van der Merwe (lecturer at the UFS Department of Animal- and Wildlife- and Grassland Sciences).
