Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

Training programme for high performing directors
2007-03-02
A training programme for high performing directors and corporate governance role players will be presented this year for the first time by the Centre for Business Dynamics at the University of the Free State (UFS). The duration of the programme is six months and participants will embark on situation-specific learning that will allow immediate application of knowledge in the workplace and the effective transfer of skills and competencies. The programme is presented in Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. The first group of 18 participants from Interstate Bus Lines and the Free State Tourism Authority started with the programme this week in Bloemfontein.
