Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

UFS staff member visits the Netherlands to gather information on occupational therapy

Dr Santie van Vuuren, Head: School for Allied Health Professions at the University of the Free State (UFS), is visiting Hogenschool Zuyd as well as Maastricht Universities in the Netherlands during March 2007 to gain insight in and gather information on research for the possible establishment of a skills lab for occupational therapists at the UFS. Dr van Vuuren will also present a guest lecture regarding Community Occupational Therapy whilst visiting these universities.
