Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

UFS receives money for Vice-Chancellor's bursary

Eduloan handed over a cheque to the value of R10 000 to Prof. Frederick Fourie, Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State (UFS). The money will be used for the Eduloan Vice-Chancellor's bursary. This is the first time Eduloan awards a student bursary to the UFS. At the handing over of the cheque were, from the left: Mr Johan Wasserfall (Chairperson of the Eduloan Council) and Prof. Fourie.
