Within the next five years, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas. Urban living comes with large-scale economic advantages and society benefits from economies of scale. But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

Intake of matriculants for 2017

Dear Prospective Student,
We have been alerted to concerns among parents and prospective students regarding studies in 2017. Apparently there is concern about the possibility that the UFS will not be in a position to register matriculants in 2017.
We would like to confirm that registration of new first-year students will continue in 2017. The UFS is furthermore committed to deliver the quality education for which we are known.
