But, COVID-19 is challenging urban living. We have introduced the term ‘social distancing’ and some policy analysts have even argued for the de-densification of cities.

UFS laboratory celebrates ten years

The National Control Laboratory (NCL) for Biological Products in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of the Free State (UFS) recently celebrated its tenth year of existence on the Main Campus in Bloemfontein. The NCL is responsible for quality control of all human vaccines in South Africa. At the celebration were, from the left: Dr Wilma Vergeer (Director: NCL), Prof. Letticia Moja (Dean: Faculty of Health Sciences at the UFS), Prof. Gert van Zyl (Head: School of Medicine at the UFS) and Mr Gerrit Muller (Head Financial Officer of the national Department of Health).
