Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Staff visit Zambia to establish cooperation

Five members from the Department of Curriculum Studies and the Centre for Education Development at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently visited the School of Education at the University of Zambia in Lusaka. During their visit it was agreed that moderators, modules, lecturers and students will in future be exchanged between the two universities. Family Math and Trac workshops were also presented to staff of the Katete Boarding Secondary School in Katete. The centre received great accolades from the participants at the school. Here is Mr Kobus van Breda busy training some of the staff from the Katete Boarding Secondary School.
