Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

| On the Faculty of the Humanities’ annual Research Day, which is part of its Mentorship Programme, young researchers received the opportunity to make presentations. More experienced researchers gave constructive feedback and suggestions. Lynette Jacobs, Patience Fwero, Carel van Wyk and Kingdom Moshounyane, amongst others, delivered presentations. At the occasion were, from the left: Kingdom, Prof. Angelique van Niekerk, Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French, and Prof. Engela Pretorius, Vice Dean of the faculty. |
