Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

UFS launches Teaching and Learning Plan

The University of the Free State (UFS) recently launched a Teaching and Learning Plan. The plan outlines what is expected of teaching, learning and assessment and provides guidelines for good teaching and learning practices at the UFS. The plan was developed by Prof. Driekie Hay, Vice-Rector: Academic Planning, and Dr Saretha Brüssow, Head: Teaching, Learning and Assessment, together with a group of experienced academic staff active in teaching.
