Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Four Kovsies included in Free State tennis team

Four students of the University of the Free State (UFS) are included in the Free State Tennis team that will participate in the Senior Interpro tournament in Pretoria from 12-16 October 2009. The team was selected after the Free State Closed Tournament that took place in August and after the ranking list had been compiled.
The team consists of four men and four women. Kovsies number 1 and 2 were included in both the men’s and women’s team. They are Reon Henning and Duke Munro and Elrien de Villiers and Rensia Henning.
