Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

First-years’ parents visit our Main Campus

A very successful morning for the parents of first-year students who are coming to study at Kovsies in 2011 was presented on our Main Campus in Bloemfontein at the end of 2010. It was the first time that a programme of this nature was presented and approximately 300 parents from across the country attended the event in a packed Scaena Theatre. The parents were informed about all aspects of student life and were afforded the opportunity to talk to staff members and ask questions.
