Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

A great honour as befallen the new Director of KovsieSport at the University of the Free State (UFS), Mr DB Prinsloo. He has been appointed by Athletics South Africa as the team coach of the South African team that will take part in the XVIII AAC Africa Senior Athletics Championships.
The championsips will take place in Porto Novo in Benin from 26 June to 1 July 2012. The team departed on 24 June.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be the part of this top team from South Africa as the coach,” says Mr Prinlsoo.
