Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

UFS supports youth at national show

The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS) sponsored the clothing of the Free State team who will be competing in the Youth Show in Worcester this week. During the handing of the clothing to the learners and coaches, were in front from the left: Heinrich Smith (President Brand Primary School, Bloemfontein) and Joshua Davel (Hendrik Potgieter Agricultural School, Reddersburg). At the back from the left are: Prof Herman van Schalkwyk (Dean: Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences) and Mr Pieter Swanepoel (Chairperson: Free State Youth Society).
