Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Kovsie Bequest Society

The Kovsie Bequest Society (KBS) was recently established by the University of the Free State (UFS). The society wants to make alumni, retired staff members and friends of the UFS aware of bequests to the university. Attending the launch were from the left: Prof Johan Nortjé (KBS committee member), Prof François Retief (Vice-Chairperson of KBS), Ms Anna Bobbert (KBS committee member), Prof Nico du Plessis (Chairperson of KBS), Ms Kathy Verwey (Senior Officer: KBS) and Prof Frederick Fourie (Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the UFS).
