About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

UFS student wins ATKV competition

Mr Hanno van Heerden has been elected as winner of the first ATKV Crescendo-Kreatief song writing competition. He was a student at the University of the Free State (UFS) until recently and won the competition for amateur song writers out of more than 600 entries. As prize, he will attend an international song writing school to the value of R50 000 in 2007.
