Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Students receive medals for their achievements

Students from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS) were honoured for their achievements during the autumn graduation ceremony held on the Main Campus in Bloemfontein. From the left, are: Mr Japie Lowings (M.Com in Mathematical Statistics, who received a Dean's medal for best masters degree student in the faculty), Ms Nicola Jandrell (B.Com.Hons. Actuarial Science, who received a Dean's medal for the best honours student in the faculty) and Mr Louis Theron (B.Com.Hons. Actuarial Science, who also received a Dean's medal for the best honours student in the faculty).
