Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Kovsies #FaceOfFacebook was born from the need to communicate with students, and thus become a virtual friend. Yearly auditions are held to choose the new face representing the UFS on Facebook. The successful candidate holds the title of #FaceOfFacebook for the next 12 months, attending events, and filming short video clips to post on our Facebook page.
