Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

The paper, entitled "Economics education: aspirations and responsibilities of the profession", was delivered by Prof. Klopper Oosthuizen, lecturer in the UFS Department of Agricultural Economics. The commemorative lecture is presented by the Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa (AEASA) to give recognition to contributions made to the Agricultural Economics discipline in South Africa.
