Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Professor in Translation visits the UFS

Prof. Christiane Nord, emeritus professor in Translation at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal in Germany and research professor at the University of the Free State's (UFS) Department of Afro-Asiatic Studies, Sign Language and Language Practice, visited the department to among others conduct research discussions with postgraduate students and present short courses in translation.
