Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of the Free State! This is an opportunity to enjoy yourself and have the best years of your life. This is the message from Pura Mgolombane, Dean: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State, to new first-year students.
About 7900 new first-year students will start their study journey at the UFS this year, and Pura has some advice for the new Kovsies.

Kovsie Bequest Society presents workshop on estates

The Kovsie Bequest Society at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently presented a workshop on estate planning and administration. The Director of Corporate Tax at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr Gert Nel, and the head of the Department of Private Law at the UFS, Prof. Johan van Schalkwyk, presented papers. Mr Nel focused on estate planning and Prof. Van Schalkwyk talked about estate administration. At the workshop were, from the left: Dr Ivan van Rooyen (Director: UFS Marketing), Prof. Alta Koekemoer (lecturer at the UFS Centre for Accounting), Mr Nel and Prof. Van Schalkwyk.
