Staff from the University of the Free State’s (UFS) Department of Drama and Theatre Arts recently attended the South African Arts Management Symposium, held at the Baxter Theatre Centre in Cape Town. Topics such as programmatic and institutional marketing, fund-raising, and strategic planning were discussed by Mr Michael Kaiser, President of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts at the Kennedy Institute in the United States of America.
