The Free State Centre for Human Rights in the UFS Faculty of Law invites you to the 2020 Human Rights Week from 17 to 20 March 2020. UFS a finalists for the Sanlam Afrikaans Drama prize

UFS one of the finalists for the Sanlam Afrikaans Drama prize

 

The University of the Free State, the 2005 winner of the Sanlam prize for Afrikaans drama, is once again a finalist in this year’s competition with the drama, Breinbliksem by Thys Heydenrych. 

 

The other finalists are the University of Stellenbosch (Willem Anker’s Slaghuis) and the Tshwane University of Technology (Wim Vorster’s Waterman and Anelle Bester’s Dis ek, Anna).

 

The four winning texts are performed at Aardklop in Potchefstroom from 26 to 30 September. The winning department receives R100 000 and the winning drama will be performed on two other arts festivals in South Africa. The individual prizes are R20 000 each.
