UFS Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences meets with SAATA
2007-03-28

The annual congress of the South African Agricultural Teachers Association (SAATA), held on the Paradys Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS), was attended by principals and deputy principals of agricultural schools across the country. From the left are: Messrs Gerrit Viljoen (Chairperson of SAATA), Jannie van den Heever (representative from Limpopo), Bennie Trollip (Department of Education, Free State) and Prof. Herman van Schalkwyk (Dean: Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the UFS). Discussions also took place between the faculty and SAATA. One of the decisions was that participation in the annual national Youth Show will in future be part of the practical marks in the final exam of Grade 12 learners. The Youth Show is presented on the Paradys Experimental Farm.
