Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
Faculty of Law at the UFS awards first Centenary study bursary

The Faculty of Law at the University of the Free State (UFS) is celebrating 100 years of jurisprudence, under the theme "Iurisprudentia 100”. The celebrations are also beneficial for students. Eljo Roos, a fourth-year LL.B. student received the first centenary study bursary awarded by the faculty. It is also the first time that the faculty awards a bursary to an undergraduate student. The bursary, which is based on a student’s academic record, will now be awarded annually.
