Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
Judge Hancke appointed as Acting Judge President

Judge Faan Hancke, judge of the Free State High Court and Chairperson of the Council of the University of the Free State (UFS), has been appointed as Acting Judge President of the Free State Provincial Division of the High Court by Mr Enver Surty, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development. Judge Hancke will act in this position from 20 April to 26 June 2009.
