Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
Prof. Herman van Schalkwyk appointed on national task team

Prof. Herman van Schalkwyk, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS), has been appointed by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson, as member of a task team to further clarify the functional responsibilities of the Department of Agriculture, the National Agricultural Marketing Council and the Agricultural Research Council on matters related to agricultural marketing, business and entrepreneurial development, international trade and agricultural economics research. The appointment of this task team comes after the Department’s review of the agricultural marketing environment.
