Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
Dr Choice Makhetha re-elected as president of SAASSAP

Dr Choice Makhetha, the Special Assistant to the Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State (UFS), was recently re-elected as the president of the South African Association of Student Affairs Practitioners (SAASSAP). Dr Makhetha served as president of this association for the period 2008-2010.
At the national conference held at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, she was unanimously re-elected as president for 2010-2012.
