Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
Prof Barry Rider elected Warden of the Company of Pattenmakers.

Prof Barry Rider, member of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers in London and professor honorarius at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Free State (UFS), was recently elected Warden of the Company. This is one of the oldest guilds in London and has a number of distinguished judges, government officials and businessmen amongst its ranks.
