She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.

The University of the Free State (UFS) is proud to boast two netball stars that were part of the Spar Protea team that won the 2013 Africa Netball Championship in Blantyre, Malawi, on Friday 28 June 2013.
Maryka Holtzhausen and Karla Mostert were part of the Protea side who dethroned Malawi in the final of the Africa Championship on Friday, beating their fellow Africans by 54-52, after seven minutes extra time.
Maryka was the captain of the Protea side during the Africa Championship.
