Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.
International Office completes planning sessions

The International Office of the University of the Free State (UFS) has recently completed two strategic planning sessions on a draft strategic plan to guide internationalisation during the next three to five years. The internationalisation function at the UFS is currently being reviewed and redirected following the adoption of the policy and the business plan on internationalisation. Staff members from the International Office who attended one of the training sessions were, from the left: Ms Louise Steyn, Mr Sukreet Hullowan, Ms Cecilia Sejake and Ms Jeanne Niemann.
