Helen Zille is a South African journalist, activist, and politician who served as the national leader (2007-2015) of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the official opposition party in South Africa. She was also Premier of the Western Cape from 2009 until 2019. Zille’s autobiography, Not without a Fight, was published in 2016.

Ms Elize Fourie (middle), youngest daughter of Prof. Frederick Fourie, Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State (UFS), received the degree B.Sc. Land and Property Development during this week's autumn graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences on the Main Camps in Bloemfontein. The faculty awarded a record of 685 degrees and 23 doctorates. Here she is with her parents, Prof. Fourie and Ms Anna-Maria Fourie.
