| Breakthroughs in nano research at our university caught attention around the world. Prof. Lodewyk Kock of our Department of Microbial, Biochemical and Food Biotechnology was a keynote speaker at various conferences, with the latest the 2nd World Congress on Biotechnology, in Philadelphia, USA, from 29 November to 1 December 2011. Prof. Kock was honoured for his outstanding keynote address and co-researcher Dr Chantel Swart for her outstanding oral presentation. Prof. Kock (left) receives here the award for his presentation from Dr Mukesh Verma of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the USA. |
