The Institute for Groundwater Studies (IGS) at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently appointed Dr Ingrid Dennis (pictured) as its new director. Dr Dennis comes with an impressive academic and professional record and has received numerous rewards for excellence both in her studies and professional career. She is a member of the International Hydro geological Association and the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions.
