Dr Samantha Potgieter, infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS), will answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and its affects.  

The webinar will address questions such as the following:

• what vaccination is and how it works
• how vaccines are developed and how we know they are safe and effective
• how the COVID-19 vaccine works and how it can protect you
• the side effects of the vaccine
• the risks vs benefits of the vaccine.

Kleinsêr winners ready for national competition

Marjolein residence ladies in action.
10 Augustus 2012

Women’s residence Marjolein and men’s residence Veritas will fly the flag high for the university at the national Sêr competition that will be held on the Bloemfontein Campus on 1 September 2012. The two residences were named the winners of the annual Kleinsêr competition.

Marjolein and Veritas will come up against the universities of Johannesburg, Pretoria, Stellenbosch and North West.

Tickets are available in Room 37 at the Thakaneng Bridge from Monday 13 August 2012, 09:00 - 15:00. For telephone bookings contact 051 401 9098.
