Dr Samantha Potgieter, infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS), will answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and its affects.  

The webinar will address questions such as the following:

• what vaccination is and how it works
• how vaccines are developed and how we know they are safe and effective
• how the COVID-19 vaccine works and how it can protect you
• the side effects of the vaccine
• the risks vs benefits of the vaccine.

Successful entrepreneur visited UFS
2005-11-28

Mr Douw Steyn (founder and chairperson of Auto & General) and Mr   Gert Grobler (SA Ambassador in Spain) visited the University of the Free State (UFS).  Mr Steyn is regarded as one of South Africa's most successful entrepreneurs and recently received a visiting professorship from the UFS School of Management.  Mr Grobler was last year awarded a Cum Laude award from the Kovsie Alumni Association for his success in the international diplomatic world.
