UFS forms partnership with Lebone Land Care Centre
2007-10-12

The University of the Free State (UFS) has formed a partnership with the Lebone Land Care Centre, a local non-governmental organisation taking care of HIV/Aids orphans. The partnership was formalised during the recent HIV/Aids event hosted by the Chief Directorate: Community Service at the UFS in partnership with the Life Skills HIV and Aids Unit of the Free State Department of Education. This was the biggest HIV/Aids focus event in the history of the university, which culminated with the handing over of a R10 000 cheque to the Lebone Land Care Centre. Pictured is the Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the UFS, Prof Frederick Fourie, handing over the cheque to the Funding Co-ordinator for Lebone Land, Mr Clint Bailey.
