Dr Samantha Potgieter, infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS), will answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and its affects.  

The webinar will address questions such as the following:

• what vaccination is and how it works
• how vaccines are developed and how we know they are safe and effective
• how the COVID-19 vaccine works and how it can protect you
• the side effects of the vaccine
• the risks vs benefits of the vaccine.

Workshop on advertising copy writing
2007-10-22

 

The annual advertising copy writing workshop was recently attended by students and other interested parties on the Main Campus of the University of the Free State (UFS) in Bloemfontein. The aim of the workshop is to provide students with an experience in the practical aspects of copy writing. This year's presenter was Ms Linette Retief, laureate copy writer and Pendoring winner. Here are, from the left: Ms Dalmé Mulder (Lecturer in the Department of Communication and Information Studies at the UFS), Yolandie Fick (student in B.A. Language Practice), Ms Retief, Prof. Angelique van Niekerk (associate professor in the UFS Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French), and Peter Demetriades (student in B.A. Integrated Marketing Communication). Prof. Van Niekerk presented the workshop on behalf of the Department of Communication and Information Studies.
