Dr Samantha Potgieter, infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS), will answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and its affects.

The webinar will address questions such as the following:

• what vaccination is and how it works
• how vaccines are developed and how we know they are safe and effective
• how the COVID-19 vaccine works and how it can protect you
• the side effects of the vaccine
• the risks vs benefits of the vaccine.

Vice-Rector's daughter graduates

Ms Obakeng Moraka, daughter of Dr Ezekiel Moraka, Vice-Rector: Student Affairs at the University of the Free State (UFS), received the B.Com. Accounting degree during this week's autumn graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences on the Main Camps in Bloemfontein. Her parents celebrated the occasion with her. Here are: Dr Moraka, Obakeng, and Ms Tebogo Moraka.
