Disruption of academic activities occurred on the Bloemfontein, South, and Qwaqwa campuses of the University of the Free State (UFS) on 1 and 2 August 2023.
The university management is aware that the protest action has impacted our students’ academic programme, as well as academic and support service activities on the campuses.

Four top students in education rewarded

Four top students in education at the School of Education at the University of the Free State (UFS) were rewarded with bursaries for their time and effort by the South African Teachers Union (SATU) and the Federation of Association of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (FEDSAS).
During the handover of the bursaries were from the left Ms Riana Rossouw (student), Mr Jan Greyvenstein, Ms Marizaan Landman (both students), Ms Ricka Venter (lecturer in Curriculum Studies at the UFS School for Education) and Ms Bea Erasmus (student). Photo: Leonie Bolleurs
