This year, the University of the Free State will witness one of its biggest graduation seasons yet. A total of 19 ceremonies will take place this April. The Qwaqwa Campus will host four ceremonies from 14 to 15 April and the Bloemfontein Campus will host fifteen celebrations from 18 to 22 April 2023. 

A grand total of 8 628 graduates will walk across the stage throughout the seven days. In addition, four honorary doctorates will also be conferred. Prof Stephen Brown will be awarded the Council Medal, Prof Mattheus Lötter is to receive the Chancellor's Medal.

Centre for Accounting honours its top 10 students
2012-04-11

 

Here is the top student in the Thuthuka group, Thembi Kganane (middle) with Mr Div Lamprecht (SAICA), and Prof. Hentie van Wyk, Programme Director: Centre for Accounting.

The top 10 function is an award ceremony where the top students in the Centre for Accounting are acknowledged for their hard work and commitment throughout the years. Sponsors from the practice are involved and attend the function every year. FNB and the Auditor-General were the main sponsors.

The first ten students in the B Accounting and the B Accounting Honours class received prizes. The prize winners were Richard Yang (third place), A Nieuwenhuizen (second place) and Megan Aquadro (first place).

The function was attended by the students and their parents.
