Mark your calendar: The Faculty of Law's Human Rights celebration is approaching!

In commemoration of Human Rights Day, the Faculty of Law at the University of the Free State (UFS) is marking the occasion with a series of special events. These include a panel discussion titled Contribution of Sir Kentridge to Human Rights in South Africa and Beyond, and a public lecture titled Thirty Years of Human Rights in South Africa? Any Reason to Celebrate? – delivered by Emeritus Constitutional Court Justice Albie Sachs, promising a day of profound reflection and insight.

Academics present papers at international conference

Staff members of the Department of Industrial Psychology at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently attended the International Conference on Contemporary Business (ICCB 2008) in Somerset West (Cape Town), where they also presented papers. At the conference were, from the left: Dr Cobus Pienaar (Head of Department), Mrs Ronel Kleynhans (Junior Lecturer), Prof. Coen Bester (Senior Professor), Miss Estelle Boshoff (Lecturer) and Mr Lyle Markham (Junior Lecturer). Mr Leon Bezuidenhoud from the same department and Mr Mandla Ndlangamandla from the UFS Qwaqwa Campus were also part of this group.
